Available on Fusion Express drum mixers.  A Viton lip seal pedestal is mounted to a drum via a 2” NPT bung fitting.  Its purpose is to provide a barrier between the drum’s contents and the exterior environment by eliminating batch contaminates and containing vapors during processing. 

Available on Fusion Express drum mixers.  A Teflon lip seal pedestal is mounted to a drum via a 2” NPT bung fitting.  Its purpose is to provide a barrier between the drum’s contents and the exterior environment by eliminating batch contaminates and containing vapors during processing.  FDA-approved Teflon seals are most common when sanitary requirements are present.

Fusion Express Explosion Proof option upgrade includes conversion of motor to meet U.L. and CSA approved, Division 1, Class 1, Group D specifications. These motors provide an additional element of safety when the application involves potentially hazardous particles. NOTE: Not suitable for variable speed control. Please contact Fusion Express for ‘Variable Speed Explosion Proof’ applications.

Our 32Ra finish on stainless steel wetted mixer parts is both sanitary and easily-cleanable. ‘Ra’, stands for “roughness average”. Welds are ground smooth, all surfaces are polished, then verified by a profilometer reading.
