Standard Mill Finish

A finish that is unimproved after machining or processing and can look dull, grainy, or rough.  Welds are wire brushed to remove discoloration.  Additionally, welds maintain their irregular form as created by the welding process; they are not blended nor ground smooth.

32Ra Food Grade Finish

A finish that is mechanically polished to a minimum sanitary level often found in food service.  Equivalent to a #4 finish or 180 grit abrasive finish.  Surface may be dull, but is smooth.  Welds are ground smooth to match surface polish of the rest of the part.
